Who I Am
Built for the Business
of Risk
I'm a Darla Moore School of Business graduate (B.S.B.A. in Risk Management & Insurance, Dec 2025) who found his calling at the intersection of relationships and risk. As an Assistant Underwriter at Swamp Fox Agency — the only SCTPA-endorsed agency and Lloyd's coverholder serving South Carolina — I specialize in the industries most people overlook: commercial trucking, logging operations, and the complex risks that keep the Southeast's economy moving.
My path wasn't traditional. Operations at The Masters, federal tech sales at Carahsoft in DC, specialty brokerage at Price Forbes inside Lloyd's of London — every stop built a lens that most underwriters starting out don't have. I bring a global perspective to a local market.
Every policy starts with a conversation, not a quote. The best risk strategies come from understanding the people behind the operations — their families, their crews, their livelihoods.

The Path
From McLean to London and back. The full journey.
McLean High School
Foundation & Competitive Edge · 2017-2022
4.0 GPA, varsity athlete. Built the work ethic that defines everything.
Grew up in Northern Virginia with a competitive mindset forged through varsity sports — Lacrosse, Basketball, Football — across four years. Held 4.0 GPA while managing multi-sport schedules. Served in Investment Club, Mcrypto, Finance Club, and Best Buddies. These weren't just activities; they were laboratories for leadership, discipline, and systems thinking. Every principle I apply in underwriting — risk assessment, pattern recognition, relationship building — started here in McLean.
University of South Carolina
B.S.B.A. Risk Management & Insurance · 2022-2025
Darla Moore School of Business. AACSB Global Center of Insurance Excellence.
Earned B.S.B.A. in Risk Management & Insurance and Financial Planning from the Darla Moore School of Business — one of the nation's premier insurance programs and an AACSB-accredited Global Center of Insurance Excellence. Member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and Gamma Iota Sigma (international insurance honor fraternity). Led security consulting capstone where my team conducted full risk assessment, scenario analysis, and Building Emergency Action Plan for a campus building, presenting findings to university administration. Every internship and project was intentional — building directly toward an insurance career. Forever to Thee.
The Masters Tournament
Operations Staff · Apr 2023 & 2024
Elite event ops. Zero margin for error. Precision over everything.
Worked inside Augusta National during The Masters — coordinating patron logistics, supporting operations leadership, executing under a standard that accepts no exceptions. Learned that operational excellence at this level is indistinguishable from risk management. Every detail reflects the standard you hold. The precision required to run a world-class event is the same precision required to underwrite complex commercial risks. This experience shaped how I approach client relationships and policy analysis.
Carahsoft Technology
BDR Intern – Federal Sales · 3 Summers
Enterprise cybersecurity. Government contracting. Forbes #45 company.
Three summers in a pressure-cooker environment selling cybersecurity and enterprise software to federal agencies via GSA Schedule, GWACs, and BPAs. Carahsoft is Forbes' #45 largest private company — a machine that teaches you to build relationships at scale, translate technical value into executive language, and close deals with zero tolerance for wasted time. Worked under team lead Kevin Dyer. This is where I learned the fundamentals I use in insurance sales: qualifying buyers, understanding complex contracts, and managing procurement cycles. Everything translates.
Price Forbes at Lloyd's
Global Specialty Broker · Jul-Aug 2025
Inside Lloyd's. On the floor. Learned specialty insurance at the source.
Worked inside Price Forbes — a leading independent global specialty broker — on the actual floor of Lloyd's of London. Sat at a box in the world's oldest insurance marketplace (established 1688). Observed the full insurance lifecycle: client conversations, risk submissions, live underwriting negotiations, claims handling. Worked alongside Marine and Property teams seeing how brokers structure multi-sector placements at global scale. Understanding surplus lines and Lloyd's market dynamics at the source fundamentally changed how I approach every risk back in the US. Mentored by Jeremy Jiggins and James Bradley.
SC Insurance License
P&C, Surety & Marine Producer · 2026
Passed state exam. Brewer Insurance pre-licensing. Legal authority to operate.
Completed Brewer Insurance pre-licensing course and passed the South Carolina Property, Casualty, Surety, and Marine Insurance Producer exam. This was the final checkpoint before starting my insurance career — converting years of academic study and industry exposure into regulatory authority. Prepared with deep understanding of insurance principles, state regulations, and risk management frameworks specific to South Carolina's market dynamics.
Swamp Fox Agency
Assistant Underwriter · Mar 2026 - Present
Home. Logging and commercial trucking. SCTPA-endorsed Lloyd's coverholder.
This is where every experience converges. Swamp Fox is the only SCTPA-endorsed agency and a Lloyd's of London coverholder. Founded in the 1980s by logging equipment salesmen who saw an underserved market. I specialize in commercial trucking and logging risks — the backbone of the SE economy — working across the surplus and specialty market to place capacity where standard carriers won't write. Building my book on relationships, not transactions. The agency also founded FICoSE — the only logger-owned captive insurance company in the US. Every skill I developed has prepared me for exactly this role.
